Graphic Overlays & Membrane Switches

Polycarbonate Overlays
Polycarbonate overlays are typically cheaper and easier to work with than polyester. They are available in optically clear or velvet textured finishes and provide a clean, tailored look for printed graphics.
For harsh environments, a hard-coated polycarbonate or polyester substrate may be the better option for durability.
Available finishes include gloss clear, matte clear, and textured, with typical thicknesses from .005” to .030”.
Polyester Graphic Overlays
Polyester is thinner but more resilient than polycarbonate and offers superior resistance to heat, chemicals, and harsh environments.
Although more expensive, polyester provides unmatched durability in high-use or demanding applications.
Typical thickness ranges from .001” to .010” with gloss, matte, and textured finishes available.
Adhesive options include permanent, removable, repositionable, selective, patterned, high temperature, low temperature, and chemical resistant.
Custom Membrane Switches and Keypads
MFG Labeling provides custom membrane switches built to specification using the latest technologies for long-lasting performance.
These switches provide both user interface functionality and visual branding. A common example is a microwave keypad.
Membrane switches consist of printed polyester layers with conductive ink, separated by a spacer that keeps circuits open until pressed.
Options include soft-touch or tactile snap-dome feedback for positive user response.
